A hygiene metal ceiling is a suspended system of antibacterial-coated (ISO 22196 / JIS Z 2801 compliant), non-porous, pressure-washable panels designed for food, pharmaceutical and healthcare facilities. The gasketed clip-in installation creates a sealed surface, panels are class A2-s1,d0, and typical production time is 2-4 weeks.
The hygiene metal ceiling panel is a suspended ceiling system with an easily cleanable, antibacterial surface that makes the ceiling part of the hygiene chain in food processing, pharmaceutical production, hospital and laboratory environments. Unlike mineral fiber tiles, the non-porous metal surface gives bacteria and mold nothing to hold on to and sheds no fibers.
Panels are produced from DX51D+Z galvanized steel or AA3005 aluminum per EN 10346 and coated with antibacterial powder coating compliant with the ISO 22196 / JIS Z 2801 test methods; the coating provides antibacterial activity, measured by the method defined in the standard, that significantly reduces bacterial growth on the surface. The standard color is RAL 9010 white, preferred in food facilities; all RAL options are available.
The system is installed with a gasketed clip-in connection: each panel clips into place and the perimeter is closed with sealing profiles, minimizing dust and particle transfer from the plenum into the room. It supports cleaning regimes in cleanroom support areas and GMP-managed production volumes. The coating withstands pressure washing and food-industry detergents and is selected to suit daily wash-down regimes.
For fire safety, panels achieve class A2-s1,d0 per EN 13501-1; in humid and steamy environments the galvanized/aluminum body provides long corrosion life. Lighting and air diffusers are integrated with hygienic sealing frames; where perforation is required, wipeable acoustic fleece achieves sound absorption of up to alpha-w 0.70.
Installation covers coordination of plenum services with sealed escutcheons, erection of the gasketed clip-in carrier and clipping of the panels; every panel can be quickly removed and refitted for inspection and maintenance. Typical production time is 2-4 weeks. Food processing and packaging plants, pharmaceutical factories, hospital operating and treatment areas, catering kitchens and cosmetics production facilities are the main application areas.
